ATN 2nd Generation Night Vision Devices

ATN offers many differnet generations of night vision equipment for professional and amateur uses like law enforcement, military and wildlife exploration.
ATN'S 2nd Generation is primarily used by law enforcement or for professional applications. This is because the cost of a 2nd Gen. unit is approximately $500.00 to $1000.00 more then a 1st Gen. The main difference between a 1st and a 2nd Generation unit is the addition of a micro-channel plate, commonly referred to as a MCP. The MCP works as an electron amplifier and is placed directly behind the photocathode. The MCP consists of millions of short parallel glass tubes. When the electrons pass through these short tubes, thousands more electrons are released. This extra process allows 2nd Generation units to amplify the light many more times then 1st Generation giving you a brighter and sharper image.
 ATN's standard 2nd Generation tubes are high-quality with exceptional brightness and resolution. Each tube has a micro channel plate, multi-alkaline photocathode with built-in power supply.

 Smart Total Darkness Technology finally provides the user total control in the hi-tech industry of Night Vision. The Smart Series Night Vision Scopes have been designed according to the latest computer technology. This technology consists of a computerized proximity sensor, digital controls and a long-range Infrared Illuminator.

Onboard computer systems identify the users intention of looking through the scope. When the scope is brought to the user's eye, it automatically turns on. When removed from the eye, the scope turns off (you must engage the proximity sensor for this feature to work). The user will never have to worry about turning his or her scope on or off. Smart series scopes automatically sense when they are no longer used and will shut off and enter their sleep mode.
All the controls and buttons are digital. Even if your batteries are low, don't worry the Smart Series will let you know. Our smart scopes have a 3-button digital control panel that allows the user to easily engage the main power, Infrared Illuminator and the proximity sensor. Color coded LEDs let you know the mode of operation you are using.
The low battery indicator is another feature that is programmed into your "Smart" scope. If the batteries start losing voltage LED indicator will start to pulse, it is time to change your batteries.

ITT Pinnacle Image Intensifier Tubes

 ATN Night Vision devices offer the  ITT Pinnaacle Image Intensifier Tubes in many of their devices for a spectacular viewing device.ATN Night Vision Units with the 3P designation use ITT Pinnacle Image Intensifier Tubes. The industry leading ITT Pinnacle Image Tubes utilize a gated power supply providing truly outstanding performance in high-light or light-polluted areas, such as urban environments. The Pinnacle Tubes with gated power supply minimize any "Halo" effects. "Halo" is often associated with using Night Vision Devices in the urban area where random street lights are often an issue with early Gen. Night Vision Systems. Night Vision Units with Pinnacle Tubes have a typical resolution of 64-72 lp/mm and a typical Signal-to-Noise Ratio of 24. All Night Vision Devices utilizing Pinnacle Image Intensifier Tubes come with ITT data record sheet. Units with Pinnacle Tubes are not available for export. A signed export compliance and end use statement are required prior to shipping of these units.
